Andrew Rothschild is back with an interesting case of severe pain and hyperalgesia around the shoulder blade area in a CrossFit athlete. This is the second time within 1 year after a good resolution the previous year. Both times there was no clear mechanism of injury. Then randomly on social media, Andrew saw two posts about the differential diagnosis of severe pain in this area in elevated athletes. The treatment is ultimately the same, but it leads to interesting discussions about how and why these things happen. Ever seen a case of nerve entrapment like this?
